Wrestlers in Business Network

Wrestlers in Business Network (WIBN) is a national non-profit organization and a division of the NWCA.

Our mission is simple, to connect wrestlers with career opportunities and professional development after the mat. Whether you’re an athlete, coach, business owner, or supporter, you can join a local WIBN chapter to network and get involved. Through WIBN, we host virtual college career fairs, help athletes find mentors, businesses hire talented wrestlers, and give back to the wrestling community. Chapters also create educational resources and professional workshops designed to prepare wrestlers for success beyond competition.

By building these connections, WIBN strengthens the bond between wrestling and the business world, ensuring wrestlers thrive in every stage of life.

What We Do

Advancing Careers

Wrestlers make exceptional employees. The discipline, resilience, and competitive spirit forged on the mat prepare them to excel in any career. The Wrestlers in Business Network accelerates their success by connecting them with employers who value those qualities. Our dedicated job board and resume database link current and former wrestlers with companies eager to hire the best.

Developing Businesses

When it’s time to buy, start with a wrestler. The Wrestlers in Business Network Member Directory makes it easy to find thousands of wrestler-owned or wrestler-led businesses across the country. Local WIBN chapter events and national gatherings create even more opportunities to connect, build relationships, and support the wrestling community through business.

Personal Growth

WIBN fosters personal growth through the power of our local chapters and events. From networking sessions to keynote talks featuring world-class speakers like Dan Gable, Tom Ryan, Rep. Jim Jordan, Olympians, coaches, and top business leaders, members gain inspiration and actionable insights to grow personally and professionally. Many chapters also feature seasoned business leaders who openly share their expertise, creating a community built on learning, mentorship, and success.

Supporting the Sport

For many of us, wrestling is the foundation of who we are today. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same opportunities as programs across all levels continue to be cut. That’s why giving back to the sport that shaped us is more important than ever.

WIBN, as an extension of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA)—an organization that has protected and reinstated over 400 college programs—champions wrestling’s future through advocacy, awareness, fundraising, and direct support for programs in need. Together, we ensure that wrestling remains strong for generations to come.

“Non-Profit Helps College Wrestlers Connect and Network”

WIBN builds upon the connection between current and former wrestlers, and its website allows student-athletes to create a profile, post a resume and engage with  business leaders who also competed in the sport. The group supports the sport of wrestling by helping college programs grow and prosper, organizing network receptions, holding All-Star tournaments and coordinating speaking events with wrestlers and coaches like Tom Ryan and Dan Gable, Olympic gold medalist.
