WIBN APRIL NEWSLETTER

Manheim, PA - On behalf of our Wrestlers in Business Network (WIBN) Board of Directors, I hope everyone is able is to make the best of a very challenging situation as it relates to your careers and businesses. I want to share a terrific idea that our WIBN/Delaware chapter came up earlier this week. This is still a relatively new chapter with new board members joining every month. Essentially, they scheduled a zoom call with all board members and allocated some time for every board member to explain their business and discuss any specific challenges they had as the result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Each board member also spoke about what their company was doing to help in the community. At the end of each board member overview, other board members then suggested ideas and/or referenced professional colleagues who might be able to help overcome any specific challenges. It was a terrific and inspiring exercise and one that I thought many of our other WIBN chapters might consider.

The more I think about it; I wonder if it might not be constructive for WIBN chapter chairs to schedule zoom meetings for all of the chapter members to accomplish similar goals. Chapter members could have an opportunity to highlight specific challenges they might be having. Then other members (and/or chapter board members) could offer suggestions and/or business associates who may be able to help. This is just a thought, and hopefully, it might be helpful to many of our chapters across the nation.

Lastly, I want to encourage all of our WIBN members to let me know if there is anything I can do out of our national office to help navigate any business-related challenges you might have as the result of COVID-19. I continue to be incredibly impressed with the vast expertise we have in our wrestling alumni network and I doubt there is any challenge we can't overcome.

I think that is all for now, and I wish you, your families, and your business associates a quick return to some form of normal operations.

All the best, Mike
