Central Ohio WIBN Scholarship. Requirements and Timeline
Who: Central Ohio high school seniors (OHSAA Central District)
ONLY APPLICATION CONDITION: Wrestle in high school and plan to wrestle in college. No athletic scholarship. Not D1 top-25. The intent to wrestle in college is mandatory, not “maybe if it fits.”
Awarded Based On
Academics: Target ~3.0 GPA or school-verified good standing (no hard minimum for now, GPA still matters in scoring)
Character: Coach recommendation confirming leadership, respect, and reliability
Financial need: FAFSA SAI/EFC preferred, or a brief confidential note from coach or counselor if needed
Required uploads in Bold.org for Submission
Essay
GPA verification (transcript or counselor verification)
Letter of acceptance (college)
Invitation or confirmation from the college wrestling program (coach email or team invite)
HS coach letter covering character plus where the student expects to wrestle in college
Financial need documentation (SAI/EFC preferred)
