Retired Marine Corps aviator Mike Pedersen is running for U. S. Congress, FL-19. Mike flew as a backseat RIO in the F-4 Phantom and as a WSO in the F/A-18D Hornet. He is a graduate of the Navy’s “Top Gun” program. While flying 66 combat missions as an Airborne Forward Air Controller during “Operation Desert Storm” over Kuwait, Mike was awarded 3 times for personal valor.
Mike and his wife Elsa have been married for 40 years and are blessed with 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
During his 26 years in Cape Coral, Mike has coached youth boxing with the Cape Coral Police Dept and has been the Asst Wrestling Coach at Mariner High School from 2003 to present.
For 22 years, he was a pharmaceutical sales Manager and Rep for 2 different companies, all focused on Women’s Health products.
In 2024, Mike was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (Florida Chapter) under the “Outstanding American” category.
